The fresco composed of As Long as I Can Tell You I Love You, At the Gates of the Stars and The Meanders of Oblivion was born gradually, without having been initially conceived as a unified whole. Each novel can be read on its own. Together, they nonetheless trace a singular movement: from wound to forgiveness, from quest to transmission, and from memory to identity.
Beyond this fresco, other novels and essays explore Morocco, its transformations, its tensions, and its shadow zones. The body of work thus continues to shift from one register to another, without ever losing its thread: understanding what events do to human souls.
